Switchboxes, Controls & Feedback

Valves and actuators need a range of ancillary parts and accessories to function effectively and to be able to provide feedback on a valve’s status, and they allow industrial controls to enable a response where necessary. Switchboxes, feedback devices, positioners, target pucks and cables provide industrial controls the feedback data to be effective in automating parts of a processing plant.

Switchboxes are mounted onto an actuated valve, and generate a signal to indicate whether the valve is in the open or shut position. Feedback devices such as feedback sensors operate in conjunction with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) to control whether a valve is open or shut.

In turn, these feedback devices require a way to establish the position of the valve, which is where target pucks are used. Cables provide connectivity between the sensors, industrial controls and switchboxes.
